PIFA’s Miss Pacific
Islander of San Diego Pageant was
established in 2004 and is a cultural
scholarship program advocating for women’s
education and to provide scholarship
assistance. It is designed for Pacific
Islander women who are of Polynesian,
Micronesian, and Melanesian ancestry of the
indigenous areas. Through this forum,
participants shine in their talents and
skills, serving as leaders through service,
and as ambassadors for PIFA.
Throughout the year,
the Miss PIFA court train to become leaders
through service and establish a platform
that will support their personal missions.
They participate in public appearances,
charity events, parades, media/radio
opportunities, and more. They also
challenge their leadership skills by
developing a special project of their choice
intended to collaborate their individual
platforms as a team, which will have a
lasting impact on the community.
